We were exchanging the usual cubicle morning pleasantries, when my buddy got a text message on his phone. He sprinted to his computer yelling, "A Wii's available!! Wii!" Thirty seconds later he had ordered three Wiis (what's the plural of Wii?) from Amazon, one for his kids, and two more for various relatives. I don't think I've ever seen anyone drop $750 faster outside of Vegas!
For those of you still hoping to Wii under the tree, sorry, couldn't resist, he was using wiialerts.com. According to them, Amazon first showed Wiis in stock at 9:16:19am, and they were out of stock by 9:31:03am. It'll send you a text message when it finds a Wii available. Just try to not run over your coworkers in your mad dash to order one.
