This year there was a little bit of everything, an early break, a star-studded attack on the Cipressa, a furious chase and a masterful move on the Poggio.
The neat thing, and here's the spoiler, because CSC's Cancellara won the prologue of the Tour of California, Phil Liggett must have mentioned Palo Alto at least a dozen times. And it made me smile every time.
